The Blinn TEAM

TEAM is designed as a two-year program. Participating students enroll in one or two academic courses at Texas A&M each semester, and the remainder of their schedule at Blinn College’s Bryan Campus location. Students who complete 60 total credit hours (with a minimum of 36 at Blinn and 15 at A&M) within the two years while maintaining academic standards, are guaranteed to transition to full enrollment in a degree-granting major at Texas A&M. An “early transition opportunity” allows many TEAM students to progress to full A&M enrollment in less than two years (without having to achieve the credit hour totals mentioned above). This is possible when they have: completed two or more semesters in the program, maintained a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 at both schools, and satisfied all entry requirements for their intended academic major. The amount of time TEAM students remain in the program varies due to: personal preference, academic performance, and different entry requirements for the various majors. (Review requirements for each major.)

Student Benefits

TEAM students benefit from enrollment at both institutions. Students enjoy the university experience afforded by Texas A&M (such as residence hall life, sports events, and a huge range of student services and activities), while enjoying the smaller classroom environments and costs of Blinn College. Academic advisors, faculty, and staff at both schools facilitate TEAM student successes. TEAM was the first program in Texas to connect a junior and senior institution in exactly this way.
