ADVISING HOURS SEMESTER CALENDAR

• When making a meeting choose 'TAP' and choose the service 'General Advising'

   

• August 17-August 28 'PEAK Advising.' 

  • Students can make an appointment 3 days in advance ONLY. We open appointments daily during this busy season.
  • We are not conducting walk-ins as our 20 minute appointment method has proven to accommodate the greatest amount of students most effectively.
• On August 31st we will resume regular scheduling 7 days in advance.
• First semester TAMU students may meet with TAP Advisors beginning September 9th.

BE PREPARED FOR THE ADVISING APPOINTMENT

1.  Write down the questions you want to ask 
2.  Run a Degree Evaluation for course ideas
3. Review Change of Major requirements on our website
4. TAP Advisors are unable to force you into closed course sections, nor can they override restrictions

REGISTRATION HOLDS

If you have registration holds, email questions to tap-gest@tamu.edu.Question about holds can typically be quickly answered in this way.

PARENTS/GUEST

Students can choose to include a parent/guest in the advising appointment. Prior to the visit you must sign and submit a Release Form due to federal privacy laws.
