Human Resource Development Program Information

 

Change of Campus (McAllen)

**These requirements are for students who want to change from CS to McAllen or McAllen to CS. Applicants must apply for change of campus in Spring semester (December- February application) to begin at the new campus in the Fall semester. Campus change requests submitted in the Fall semesters will not be considered. It is recommended that you do not sign a lease until you have received a final decision regarding your change of campus request. Courses in progress at time of application are not considered in our review for change of major admission. Prospective change of major students must meet the minimum change of major requirements detailed above at the time of application.

  • 1 Life and Physical Science course (3 or 4 hours) with a C or better

  • Preferred completion of INST 210, EPSY 320 or EPSY 321, or INST 301 with a C or better
  • Additional Requirements:
    • An essay is not required but encouraged. A competitive essay will reflect that a student is interested in pursuing careers that serve youth and families. Some careers
      for this major can include, but are not limited, to social/human services (e.g., child advocacy), healthcare (e.g., child life specialist), non-profit (e.g., program director),
