All change of major applications to the College of Education & Human Developments are reviewed by a faculty committee and admitted on a competitive basis after a holistic review. Meeting the minimum requirements listed does not guarantee admission. Applicants will receive a final decision no later than 10 business days after the application deadline each cycle. All correspondence will be sent via your TAMU email address.

Change of Campus (McAllen)
**These requirements are for students who want to change from CS to McAllen or McAllen to CS. Applicants must apply for change of campus in Spring semester (December- February application) to begin at the new campus in the Fall semester. Campus change requests submitted in the Fall semesters will not be considered. It is recommended that you do not sign a lease until you have received a final decision regarding your change of campus request. Courses in progress at time of application are not considered in our review for change of major admission. Prospective change of major students must meet the minimum change of major requirements detailed above at the time of application.

- Must have a 2.5 GPA at the time of application
- Must have 12 graded hours at TAMU
- Must have less than 75 total completed hours
- 1 Core Math credit with a C or better
- 1 Life and Physical Science course (3 or 4 hours) with a C or better
- Choose one course to complete INST 210, EPSY 320, INST 301 or ALEC 370 with a B or better
