With over 1,500 students, Texas A&M's College of Architecture is one of the largest of its kind in the United States. Mays Business School offers a combination of a broad education foundation and more specialized study that produces graduates uniquely qualified to deal with the rapidly changing and diverse global economy. The program of study in business provides students a background in the basic academic areas -- mathematics; humanities; natural and behavioral sciences; and, rhetoric and composition. Students simultaneously pursue introductory course work in accounting, economics, business computing systems and the legal environment of business. Transition Academic Programs

Students in General Studies (GEST) take courses that fulfill the core curriculum requirements while exploring potential degree plans. All students are expected to identify a major by the time they have completed 60 hours (about four to five semesters of college-level work.) The keynotes of General Studies are exploration and flexibility. Once a student has had the opportunity to explore a potential major, and has discussed options with an advisor in the Transition Academic Programs office, the student will be better able to make an informed decision about declaring a major.

Nature, its origins and its evolution, its strengths and its frailties, its order and its perceived disarray, constitutes the realm of study classified as science. Scientists search for interconnecting relationships and traits of order to understand the nature of our universe. Each new discovery provides additional knowledge and frequently enables the solution of previously perplexing questions. Often technology is able to transform scientific discovery into applications which are beneficial to our everyday living. Technology would be impoverished were it not for the new knowledge continually being sought by scientists. At the same time, science could not progress without the advances in instrumentation and techniques generated by technology. Thus, a symbiotic relationship exists between science and technology, a relationship which permeates the courses and programs in the college. Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences website

Biomedical Science is a broad field of applied biology that is directed toward understanding health and disease. The curriculum is designed to provide a strong four-year education that emphasizes versatility of the graduate in the biological and medical sciences. A highly effective counseling program assists the students with the development of an individualized approach and course package that orients and prepares the students for entry into the medical and allied health field of their choice.
