Change of Major
Change of Major Request Dates:
- Fall 2023: August 16th 2023 – September 18th 2023
- Spring 2024: December 19th 2023- February 12th 2024
- Summer 2024: May 14th 2024 - June 25th 2024
BBA in Accounting (ACCT), Finance (FINC), Management (MGMT), Marketing (MKTG), Management Information Systems (MISY), Supply Chain Management (SCMT)
3.50 BBA in ACCT, FINC, MGMT, MKTG, MISY, SCMT
- At least 30 graded TAMU hours
- No more than 60 total hours (including transfer credit, but excluding AP and dual credit completed in high school)
- 3.50 or above on at least 4 qualifying courses, including completion of both required math courses
- Students can only apply once they meet the change of major requirements and not while courses or requirements are in progress.
- Students may access the change of major application online via the Change of Major Requests channel on My Record tab (Howdy portal)
A minimum of four of the following courses completed with a GPA of 3.5 or greater, and two of the four courses must be MATH 140 and MATH 142, or their equivalents.
If more than the four courses minimum are complete, grades in all courses complete will be included in the GPA calculation. If a course has been attempted more than once, the higher grade will be used in this calculation.

Map to Business Administration
- At least 30 graded TAMU hours
- No more than 60 total hours (excluding AP, dual & transfer credit)
- Complete a minimum of four of the specific courses listed on the Map to Business Administration with a GPA of 3.25 or greater.
- Two of the four courses must be MATH 140 and MATH 142, or their equivalents.
